![]() Many find it difficult to define the Trinity, much less use Scriptures to present their case. Many reason that the Trinity is a mystery that no one can truly understand fully. This usually occurs in many people’s minds because the doctrine simply surpasses their understanding of who the Creator may be to them. It’s quite likely that in their defense, they’ll cite something along the lines like “Look, Elohim is greater than we can understand” (Job 36:26a). Then again, there are those who’ll simply give a specific look of disapproval, suck their teeth, and imagine, “Poor guy! He’s simply lost and needs to be saved.” Then, there are those who cite numerous biblical passages completely out of its original context in order to prove their case. The fact remains that the Trinity is a doctrine that took several centuries to develop. The Encyclopedia Britannica defines the Trinity as “[…] the unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead” (Encyclopedia Britannica 2014). As per the word Trinity itself, The Encyclopedia Britannica admits that “[n]either the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Hebrew Scriptures: “Hear, O Israel: The L-rd our G-d is one L-rd” (Deuteronomy 6:4)” (Encyclopedia Britannica 2014). It also explains how the Trinitarian concept came to be the doctrine that it is today: ![]() Language is “the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way” (OED 2014). When we refer to speech, then it is “the expression of or the ability to express thoughts and feelings by articulate sounds” (OED 2014). When we refer to writing, then it is “a sequence of letters, words, or symbols marked on a surface” (OED 2014). The Bible introduces us with the idea that G-d was capable of expressing His thoughts and feelings by means of verbal and written communication. He too was able to communicate to the Israeli people by writing out The Ten Commandments with His own finger. Though all of Israel both saw and heard the Creator performing such marvelous things, they oftentimes opted not to have this form of communication with the Creator; however, the Heavenly Father was still willing to recall them. In like manner, the Bible introduces us with the notion that the Heavenly was not limited in expressing His thoughts and His feelings by means of either verbal or written communication. Yes, He has the ability to utilize a sequence of letters, words and symbols as well as mark them on a surface of some sort to express His ideas and thoughts. Provided that many wish to understand the manner by which the Heavenly Father communicates with His creation, this study discusses this, the manner by which we identify as being a stammered and slurred speech. WHAT DO YOU THINK?"For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard" (Acts 22:15). Oftentimes, an opportunity presents itself where you can leave someone with a big impact as to who you are as a Bible enthusiast who follows the teachings of Messiah Yeshua. We’re quite sure that you have had your personal story where you excelled in witnessing Messiah Yeshua. We would all love to read your comments! Thus, this blog is not about discussing who’s right or wrong; rather, it’s about how you have approached this situation and how you were able to overcome those obstacles.
When compared to the typical Sunday service, Shabbat is a completely different experience that many just do not understand. Some might even reason that those who keep the Sabbath do so for all the wrong reasons! However, we understand that when we observe the Sabbath and assemble to meet with the Heavenly Father at His prescribed time, we anticipate for the Sabbath to come out of our willingness to obey His commandments. We worry about making sure that those little errands are done and out of the way so that our minds are not preoccupied when we’re gathered together to meet with the Heavenly Father. We also make those final travel arrangements and stay so that we can assemble ourselves with either a home fellowship or local assembly. Then, we celebrate Shabbat.
